In 1945 the Division of Labor Statistics and Law Enforcement became the separate divisions

of Labor Law Enforcement and Labor Statistics and Research. For a description of the

records of these two divisions after 1945, see series entries 167 and 168.

Letters received, copies of letters sent, memoranda, monthly reports, press releases, and

other records pertaining to the gathering of labor statistics and the administration and

enforcement of laws for the promotion of social well-being.
