The Stanton & Anthony Papers

The Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony Papers has located and published the papers of America’s leading nineteenth-century advocates of equal rights for women.  The project completed a 45-reel microfilm edition, the first comprehensive collection of either woman’s papers, assembled from collections around the world.  In a six-volume selected edition, the project has transcribed, annotated, and published a portion of the whole collection.

For our participation in Editors Notes, we identified examples of research conducted by the editorial staff that created a unique body of sources.  We wanted to open those sources for other people to use in classroom teaching or to launch further research.
