See Rama Rau and the Third ICPP as well.

She is visiting the U.S., is the Executive Secretary of the Indian Conference on Social Work. Knows of Sanger's work, but recently read a Reader's Digest article that indicated the proposed Indian Conference on world population and birth control to be held in 1952.

She is very interested in the conference, especially as she plans to be involved in working on the Madras meeting of the Indian Conference on Social Work, to be held in Dec. 1952. One of the subjects they are discussing "may be the population problem which fits into the main theme of the Conference viz. 'The Role of Social Service in Raising the Standards of Living.'" They chose the theme "in consideration of the conditions prevailing in the Asian Countries where the Conference meets for the first time."

Would like to hear from Sanger so that they "can better fix the programs of the two conferences in such a way that persons interested in both the Conferences could make it possible to participate in them.
